By bike in the neighborhood of Kopasz-Mount – the new sections of Tokaj circle cycling route, which is soon-to-be-completed, are waiting for you

Thanks to the grant under the name of “Development of active tourist networks in Tokaj-Hegyalja – Phase I. of the implementation of the Tokaj circle cycling route”, now you can discover this region by sitting on a bicycle. Starting from Tokaj, touching Tarcal you can get to Bodrogkeresztúr.

Biking in the neighborhood of Kopasz-Mount is an excellent program for those, who loves to be active, who like to be close to nature and enjoy cycling. The tour can be completed easily, so even the whole family can travel together with the younger ones too. Be active in Tokaj-Hegyalja – on land and on water

In almost every settlement, that are located by the new sections of the future Tokaj circle bike route are available water tours, so we recommend that you take the land and water tours in turns on warmer days. Not only because of the variety, but also in this way you can visit regions that you wouldn’t normally be able to on two wheels. We start our return trip from the city of Tokaj.

1. stop: Tokaj

The section in Tokaj runs from the Tokaji-Tisza bridge to the Festival Square, passing along the Bodrog river and also by the Kenubázis. And while we are here, why not to take a little water detour? At the base, we can experience the power of water by trying kayaking and canoeing. For those who are more attracted to culture instead of water sports, it is worth taking a glimpse into one of the concerts, performances, theater shows, or book launches held in the Festival Square during the summer.

Continuing towards Tarcal, we follow the existing bike path between Tokaj and Tarcal. Along the way, we pass by the romantic wine cellars of the Szerelmi Pincesor.

2. stop: Tarcal

This village is a gathering place for the natural treasures of the tour. Definitely take a little detour towards the Tokaj hills and cycle or walk up to the top, where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding plain and the U-shaped dead branch next to the Kishomokos farm. On the way back, take a moment to stop by the Tarcali quarry pond, and spend time at the famous Áldó Krisztus statue. If you want to explore the sights on foot, leave your bike in the bicycle storage located in the lower parking lot of the Andrássy Mansion.
